Performance test and application prospect of non-woven bag
Abstract:
This paper introduces the excellent characteristics of non-woven fabrics and non-woven environmental bags. Through experimental comparison, it is found that the non-woven environmental bags are better than ordinary plastic bags in terms of strong durability and degradation performance, thus reducing the white pollution caused by ordinary plastic bags and enhancing people's environmental awareness.

With the enhancement of people's awareness of environmental protection, the "white pollution" caused by plastic bags has attracted the attention of various countries, and many countries around the world have formulated regulations on shopping plastic bags to restrict or prohibit their use. Relevant compulsory policies and regulations of China have been issued one after another. Since June 1, 2008, free plastic shopping bags in major supermarkets across the country have been suspended [1]. How to develop alternative products which are beneficial to environmental protection and widely accepted by low-income groups has become a research hotspot to solve the problem of plastic bags. Among several substitutes, non-woven environment-friendly shopping bags are considered as the best substitute for plastic bags due to their characteristics of short technological process, high yield, rapid variety change, wide source of raw materials, long service life and biodegradability. This paper mainly discusses the breaking strength and wear resistance of non-woven environmental shopping bag, so as to advocate people to use environmental bags, protect the earth and protect human beings.
Introduction of non-woven fabrics
1.1 concept of non-woven fabric
The production of non-woven fabric breaks through the conventional principles of textile processing. It is a kind of textile material formed without the need of spinning. As long as the textile is oriented or randomly arranged with short fiber or filament to form a fabric structure, and then it can be formed by mechanical, thermal or chemical reinforcement.
1.2 main properties of non-woven fabrics
Non-woven fabric is formed by interlay of filament into a network, with high porosity, good light permeability, strong moisture permeability, high air permeability, non-toxic and non-irritant [2]. In addition, it can be recycled and reused for many times, and has the advantages of lightness, softness, elasticity, corrosion resistance and cleaning. Non-woven fabric production speed, short process, low cost, high output, source of raw materials and wide use, rich color.
1.3 production process of non-woven fabrics
According to different processing technologies, the production process of non-woven fabric can be divided into: needle-stick non-woven fabric, water-stick non-woven fabric, wet non-woven fabric, stitching non-woven fabric, hot-bonded non-woven fabric, melt-jet non-woven fabric, spunbonded non-woven fabric, slurry airflow into web non-woven fabric and so on. Among them, the non-woven environmental bags are mostly made of hot-bonded non-woven fabrics.
Features of non-woven shopping bags
Plastic bags, which are commonly used in daily life, are non-biodegradable, or take decades or even hundreds of years to degrade. The non-degradable nature of ordinary plastic bags pollutes the soil and groundwater. In addition, a complete plastic bag, which can only be used for storing or throwing away after carrying items from the supermarket to the residence, also has a serious waste problem.
The environment-friendly shopping bag is safe and hygienic during use, and can be recycled for many times. After use, shopping bags can be degraded or recycled for reuse [3].
3 performance test of non-woven shopping bag
3.1 test materials
Samples of non-woven bag and polyester fiber, pp fiber, polyethylene plastic bags.
3.2 test instruments
The strength of YG(B)026 electronic fabric was tested according to FZ/T 60005 -- 1991. The wear resistance of YG(B) type 522 disk fabric was tested according to FZ/T 60019 -- 1994.
3.3 test principles and procedures
3.3.1 burst strength test method:
4 samples of non-woven bag with R=5 cm were cut and marked as 1#, 2#, 3# and 4# respectively. Similarly, 4 samples of ordinary polyethylene plastic bags of the same size were selected and marked as 5#, 6#, 7# and 8# respectively. Put 8 samples into the clip ring and fasten them, and then place them flat on the clip frame. Press the start button, and after the sample is fully jacked, the instrument will return to its original state to retrieve the sample for backup and record data. 8 samples were completed one by one according to this method.
3.3.2 test method for wear resistance:
Shearing R = 5 cm of non-woven bag sample 4 pieces, are marked as 1 #, 2 #, 3 #, 4 #, again, another of the same size ordinary polyethylene bag 4 pieces, and marked for 5 #, 6 #, 7 #, 8 #, unified cut wet conditions for 3 hours in the laboratory, respectively eight specimens in the fabric ring and tighten, put it in a disc type fabric abrasion machine; Press the start button and observe the degree of the sample wearing. When the sample is broken, press the stop button and record the data.
4 results and discussion
4.1 breaking strength
The breakdown strength test results are shown in table 1.
It can be seen from table 1 that the average breaking strength of non-woven bag top break is higher than 170.0n, while the maximum breaking strength of ordinary plastic bag top break is less than 2.0n. This strength reflects their strength and carrying capacity. From the above data, it can be seen that the carrying capacity of a non-woven environmental bag is equivalent to more than 100 ordinary plastic bags.
4.2 wear resistance
The wear-resistance test results are shown in table 2.
It can be seen from table 2 that the wear resistance of non-woven environmental bags is very good, with an average of about 169 times, while that of ordinary polyethylene plastic bags is about 4 times, with a difference of more than 40 times. In terms of wear resistance, a non-woven environmental bag is equivalent to dozens of ordinary polyethylene plastic bags. Therefore, the non-woven environment-friendly bag will replace the ordinary polyethylene plastic bag and become an indispensable convenience bag in People's Daily life.
5 application prospect
With the rapid development of China's economy and the continuous improvement of people's quality of life, people's awareness of environmental protection is increasing. The requirements of environmental protection and economy can be realized by using the non-woven environmental bags made of natural fibers or degradable fibers. If polyamide fiber is added in non-woven production, it will have better bearing capacity and durability [4]. In addition, the non-woven bag after processing such as water and oil rejection, antibacterial and easy decontamination is not easy to be contaminated by water and oil, but also has antibacterial properties, when necessary cleaning is also more convenient. Shopping bag is small after being folded and folded, easy to carry and save, and meets the requirements of multiple circulation. With the maturity of non-woven processing technology and the decrease of processing cost, non-woven environmental bags will have a good application prospect.
